Where can I buy English textbooks in Taiwan?

The prices in US are outrageous. Last year I bought some this little shop from across the street from Tai Da, near Gong Guang station.

Can someone tell me where else I can buy them in Taipei? Thank you.

If not, can you refer me to internet sites that sell English textbooks from Asia?



And by English textbooks, I mean for any subjects, not just textbooks about English.

Ok I did a search for you. You can check out the Elite bookstore in Taipei. There are a number of branches there, some of them in shopping centre. They also have a main branch that opens 24/7, so that speaks for itself, how big and comprehensive the catalog will be. I believe you will find all the books you want there.

Kindle e-books store at Amazon has a wide selection of affordable english text books on its site. You just need to invest in a bookreader, ideally a Kindle one. I use that myself for my reading. I love it because its just like a real book and it won't give you headaches, as it uses 'magnetic ink' rather than LED backlight display. And then you don't need to find space to hold large heavy books that you won't touch for many years- it stays on system and is backed up at your Amazon account.



Caves bookstore has a wide variety of English paper based books. I strongly recommend getting a reader, however. More variety of books is online now in English than you could ever find in a bookstore. The exception to this is if you want a color photo magazine- go to a real bookstore and get the print version. It probably is still a superior experience until the technology develops a bit more over the next few years.
