Do what everyone before you has done: keep them in a stack in an inconvenient place in your house for five years, pack them when you move four or five times, put them in the attic for ten years, then finally throw them out.
Or you can just skip to the throwing-out step. Just remember to put them in the recycling bin.
well, if you really want to get rid of them, you can check if the local library will take them, if not i guess you can take the books apart and toss the stuff you can't recycle (the hard cover on a hardcover book for example) and shred the rest of the paper and toss it in the recycling bin. What do I do with old college textbooks?
Sometimes they are worth keeping. I have a few that I used as texts in the 1950s. However, most of the time, they either go to a thrift shop or get recycled. There was a show on PBS recently that showed how to use a book cover and a VCR box to make a "book-safe".What do I do with old college textbooks?
Try betterworldbooks.com. They have a "donate" program, where if they accept 3 books or more, shipping is free. You can even choose the organization that you want your books to go to.
Do you have a used book store near you. Maybe they can buy them back, or you can just donate them. Then at least they wouldn't be going to waste and they would have a chance at getting used again
Local library? Charity shop? Local learning centre?
Just give it your local library or keep it with you it will be useful when you in need of some basic information.
Give them to the "little people" so that they can see over the steering wheel.
You can try selling them. Half.com is an easy place to sell textbooks.
i would make a video of me burning them, then put it on youtube
or just recycle them
