Here's a page with some of the biggest textbook buyback websites. These sites all have pretty good guarantees and huge selections. I would go with one of these.
Try selling your textbooks on http://www.GreenTextbooks.com they are an awesome site and all ways get me the most money for my textbooks. Try it you don't got anything to lose, just enter the ISBN numbers in and see how much you can get for it.

The best way to sell your college textbooks is somewhere you can compare companies, see reviews of them (from customers as well as the BBB), %26amp; know for sure you are making the right decision.

Read on (taken from the site):

"Sell used books for cash by entering the ISBN and get competing offers from the best buyback sites in the business. These companies are reviewed by others users that sell back textbooks so you know who offers the best service.

Help keep your books out of the landfill or collecting dust on your shelves.

Things to remember about selling back books:

1) Always make sure the quote price is for the book you are selling.

2) Be sure your books to sell match condition guidelines.

Try http://www.bigwords.com I use them for all my buying and selling needs. They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online textbook retailers (including amazon, half, ebay and all the others already mentioned here) and rental sites (including chegg, bookrenter etc) to find you the best prices. And as you asked, yes you can also use them at the end of the semester to search for resellers to sell your books to. All the results are displayed by price, so when searching to buy, you get the cheapest books first, and when searching to sell you get the highest offer for your books first. Bigwords.com really takes the pain out of getting your books, and makes it fast and affordable.
You have 2 options:

Half.com and amazon.com are the best place to sell your textbooks. You list them for sale, specify condition. Wait for the sale then ship it to the buyer and receive money in your account within 15 days. You pay 15% of the sale price as commision to amazon or half.com . You will receive more money but have to wait until the book is sold.

Compare what the highest buyback companies what to pay you. http://usedtextbookprices.com/

UsedTextbookPrices.com does just that. You ship the book to them and they send you the money. The shipping is through prepaid shipping label provided by the textbook buyback.

I hope this helps and Good Luck.
