What can I do with several old college textbooks I have laying around?

I have several old textbooks laying around from my undergrad and graduate degrees - Trig, Calculus, Biology, Psych, Organic Chem, etc. I want them to go to good use and not end up in a landfill, but I am not wanting to go through the trouble of putting them on eBay or half.com Are there any charities or organizations which could benefit from these?

Thanks! What can I do with several old college textbooks I have laying around?
Give them to the college library that sits nearest to you. I have tried to give them to the public library and they would not accept textbooks. Perhaps things have changed, I am not sure. But the library would be a good place. If you do not like that idea, give them to a school near you or to a church.
You can send them to http://www.DonateTextbooks.org

If you purchased them and they are your.. you can donate them to your local public library. Good luckWhat can I do with several old college textbooks I have laying around?
Sell them on half.com. I believe it is owned by Ebay.
contact me at westlake91@yahoo.com to tell me a price for them... i'm going to pre-med next year. they sound kind of useful... and if i don't want them im sure someone else might. i think you can sell them back to the college
You can give them to a used book store near a college or you can put a ad on craigslist.com for free to a college bound student that may need them or even a college student. I would also call around and see what else you can do with them some high school students use college books to learn from because they are higher in that portion if learning then another. So call the High Schools near you and see if they will use them or not. You can also ask the High School where else you could take them if they wont. The more people you ask when talking to them on the phone the more ideas and information you will get with anything at all even though its just books your asking about.
Go to a university or jr college near where you live. ask when they will have a book buy back or IF THEY BUY THEM BACK.. then you can sell them. Or have you tried posting them for sale or FREE on Craigslist.org in your area?
you can go back and give the books to the instructors. you can drop them off in the counseling office and they can get them to the correct people.

I once got a free Drafting book that would have cost me $60 new so it was a happy day when an extra one was dropped off.
