How much do University textbooks usually cost?

I'm about to begin University - studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Journalism %26amp; Mass Communication. Does anyone know a rough estimate of how much ALL my textbooks for this subject or a subject like it would be? I'm only after a general price...I have no idea how much it will set me back. How much do University textbooks usually cost?
Look at the coursework for your degree. Go to the campus bookstore website and price the texts listed in the coursework per semester. Think of this as an investigation piece! Write it up and sell it to your local paper, or submit it to the campus rag.
You should buy used college textbooks at GreenTextbooks.com - Saving the Planet One Textbook at a Time GreenTextbooks.com is your online leader for finding used textbooks, DVDs, CDs. http://www.GreenTextbooks.com

Expect to spend a few hundred dollars each term (for books within your major and your other courses). Buy books online - not forgetting to look at general places like amazon.com in addition to college textbook sites - to save money. Sell your books to get (a pitifully small amount of) your money back. I keep all of the books in my major though, because you never know.

Nobody can tell you exactly how much your books will cost because it depends on a lot of things like...

1. if you're on quarters or semesters (generally buy more books on quarters)

2. if you buy from the bookstore or online/used/from a friend/share/photocopy/etc.

3. if you buy new or used

4. if you buy textbooks that are recommended (some textbooks aren't required - they're only recommended, make sure to consult your course syllabus or your instructor about this)

5. if you're willing to shop around

You can save a lot over the course of time by buying used, online, and/or from a friend. Share if you can. Sell books you won't need after the course and don't buy them in the first place if you don't need them.

Books are expensive, but there are definitely cost-saving measures you can take to ease the burden! Good luck. How much do University textbooks usually cost?
It depends if it's a popular book or not, usually professors will force you to buy their own books which might be very high priced.

This last semester books only went up to maybe 90-100 for me, but it all depends on you're class, as I see you're studying Journalism it shouldnt be too much

lowest being $90- highest ben $150
im not sure, all books for college are expensive. try renting your books. it's a lot cheaper.

most likely around 250
It depends on textbook, and you get same textbook from amazon.com too so you don't need to purchase at school's bookstore.
