How to find textbooks on this bookstore website?

I am trying to find some kind of category or place where I can click and find the textbooks section of the bookstore. Search engine does not work, and the only categories available are merchandise categories. I would like to know what i'm buying before i actually go to the bookstore, or maybe even get the books shipped to me. Do I need a code to activate a used copy of Teaching Textbooks?

I'm trying to buy used versions of Teaching Textbooks Math 4 %26amp; 7 on ebay to save money on curriculum, and one of the listings mentioned that you could contact Teaching Textbooks to get the code you need to re-activate or reset (don't remember the term they used) the program. I can't find any mention of this code anywhere else, including the TT web site. Does anyone know anything about this code?Do I need a code to activate a used copy of Teaching Textbooks?

Yes you need an activation code. From what I have read on TT yahoo group they don't tend to give you trouble when asking for a code for a resale. They just want to make certain that people aren't buying the CDs, installing them and then resaling them immediately.

I'm wondering how many ppl actually used their textbooks after they've finished using them for their classes. I'm going into college this coming fall, and i'm considering renting some of my textbooks, as it comes cheaper. Advice, anyone?Did you use your college textbooks after you finished your class?
For the general classes that everyone took, I got rid of them as soon as I was done. As for my major, I still have most of those books. They helped in preparing for tests in other classes.

Most of the undergrad books for the classes in my major. . . no, although I have pulled several out once or twice to look something up since they were on the shelf anyway and I knew it'd be in there. A few have been more helpful every now and then, so I'm glad I kept those.

The books I've used in grad school tend to be more useful overall, although I can't say that I'm even using them all the time or anything. I suppose you could always find the same things in the library if you really need them, but it's rather nice to have the book sitting on your desk with no due dates.



What you might want to do is rent/borrow books if you can to start with, and then maybe consider buying them if they seem like good reference books. The basic textbooks you're going to use for the first year or two might not be worth much unless they're directly related to your major. Maybe walk through the bookstore once they start putting books out and see if the books you need for a given class might be good references later before you make a decision?
i used some of my books that had to do with my major as reference for papers and stuff. but the other ones were pretty much useless after the class was over. the one i still use all the time is the english grammer book they make you buy that describes paper formats though. that'll be useful for the rest of your college years.
