What is the fastest way of passing out textbooks in a middle school?

I am a secretary at a middle school and I am in charge of passing out all of the textbooks to students there are 1200 students I am new at this so I was wondering what the quickest and most effective wayWhat is the fastest way of passing out textbooks in a middle school?
as the secretary? It depends on where these books are and whether or not all of the students get their own or if they have to share.



I would find a place to put the books, hallway, office, empty classroom, back table of a room, whatever is available. Then, I would have the students line up and pick up their books.



If the books are numbered, i would pass around a sign up sheet with the book numbers on it and have the students sign their names next to the book. Also, I would make sure that the students of one class have books that are close in numbers so that their names will be on the list together and you would just need to write the teachers' names so that you know which students of which teachers the books are with.



If the teachers have book shelves you could have them keep the books there for the students to use and put away when they are done, so that the books aren't being taken home.
