Should you buy textbooks online before or after classes start?

I buy weeks before, but my sister got a letter in the mail saying she should wait to buy textbooks incase there is a change in her schedule. I am just worried that buying them online will take too long and she won't get them on time.

How often is it when classes are canceled or changed? Should she buy them now?

Her classes start in 2 weeks.Should you buy textbooks online before or after classes start?
She should buy them now.

Professors very often assign homework or reading on or before the first day. By waiting until classes start, she is going to either be behind or be confined to buying from the overpriced bookstore (and the bookstore should be avoided as much as is physically possible - I can't tell you how much money I've saved by NOT going to the bookstore for textbooks, but it's easily been a few hundred dollars)Should you buy textbooks online before or after classes start?
A change in her schedule depends on if she dropped/added courses during the drop/add period (usually 1-2 weeks after classes starts). If the university/department changed the course - it is usually to another time/section or location.

The best way to confirm the textbooks is to email the professor.

Because sometimes students do not really need books at all for a course.
And some students ask professors if they can buy the older version in order to save money.Should you buy textbooks online before or after classes start?
Buy now. Also check return policies.
