I'm going to to be studying abroad at the University of the Philippines in November. I was wondering how much should I expect to pay for the required textbooks?How much do college textbooks cost in the Philippines?
If you're studying in UP, you can ask the students where they bought their books. Because most UP students knows where to find great cheap finds. ~That's a compliment!

How much do college textbooks cost in the Philippines?
Cost of college textbooks depends on the subject and field of studies. The ones considered expensive by most Filipino students are medical, nursing, and engineering books. Soft bound book versions are a little cheaper than hard bound. I think the highest I paid for college text book I bought in the Phils. is PhP 1000 which is equivalent to $20. A $20 hard bound and new book is inexpensive in the USA while PhP 1000 book is deemed expensive in the Philippines.
