What is the best way to donate used textbooks?

I am trying to donate all the textbooks and other books I have accumulated from high school to college. I know I can drop them off at Goodwill or try to donate them online, but What would be the best way to put these dated, but still useful resources in the hands of those who can find better usage than I can?What is the best way to donate used textbooks?
You can sell them online. But if you really hate money that much, sell them for like a $1 or something.
