What can I do with very outdated textbooks?

I have textbooks that date back to the years 1992-1996. They obviously cannot be sold. It doesn't appear they can be donated either, at least not where I have looked. They are in fine condition and it doesn't seem right to just toss them in the trash. Any advice? What can I do with very outdated textbooks?
Donate them to a worthy cause.
I would also suggest using GreenTextbooks.org

Try to sell them privately through Amazon or another book reseller. Check first to see what the cheapest price for a current edition, and for other previous editions will be. If it is less than 10 dollars, don't bother, you will loose all profits through shipping cost and commission fees. If you want to donate, find a goodwill box, and put the book in there. They will figure out what to do with it. You can also donate the book to your campus book store, or a local high school library. Both will gladly take the book off your hands. What can I do with very outdated textbooks?

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Of course they can be sold. If you can't sell them directly to a book seller for resale you can sell them yourself by listing them with Craigslist, eBay, or Amazon.
Amazon and b%26amp;N have textbook resellers. They may want them!
friend sold it on ebay :) said she still got a pretty penny for them too.
