What are international edition textbooks?

Hi, can anyone tell me what is the difference between an international edition textbook and a US edition. Also, does anyone know of any places online to get cheap textbooks? Thanks! What are international edition textbooks?
the international version is black/white only, thus why it is so much cheaper, but it still have the same information. but in some subjects, not having colored illustrations is a bad thing.

try ebay, or www.bookbyte.com for cheap textbooks!
You should buy used college textbooks at GreenTextbooks.com - Saving the Planet One Textbook at a Time GreenTextbooks.com is your online leader for finding used textbooks, DVDs, CDs. http://www.GreenTextbooks.com

The paper is flimsier too so yellow markers bleed through if you are not careful. But they are much cheaper so I never hesitate.

For cheap textbooks I usually find them through third party dealers from amazon.com. Just find the book and they will have a section you can go to to get them. Usually the books arrive in almost pristine condition -- not like a used bookstore book. ALWAYS SHOP EARLY BTW I've caught a couple on ebay also. What are international edition textbooks?
International means simply that they are used in various nations with the same format and text.
A US edition text would have information specifically pertaining to the US, whilst an international text will have information more useful to non-US users. In finance for example some US conventions are completely different than in Australia or the UK such as the number of zeros in a billion.
