Where can I find inexpensive college textbooks?

I been buying my textbooks at the college bookstore, which is in itself very expensive. I especially would like to know how to find used textbooks or, at least, moderately priced new textbooks. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.|||Find out the ISBN numbers of your books first. This makes searches a lot easier and comes up with more accurate results. Then go to www.addall.com and type in your number. The site will search all of the other booksellers online (or close to it) and come up with a list of the places that sell your book, including an estimation of the shipping price. Then you can pick a link, make sure it's the right thing, and order your books. (Usually half.com and amazon have the cheapest.)|||Hello Marcia Gallercia,

|||I found that gosnuffy.com works really well. It lists over 6500 universities, colleges, beauty schools, etc. and allows students to buy/sell new and used books directly to each other on campus. This way no shipping is needed and the middle man is cut out. http://www.gosnuffy.com

|||half.com|||www.bestbookbuys.com|||You can go to this website: www.half.com|||Amazon used and Alibris.com has a textbook section.|||You should ask around. because for college, it might give you a whole list of books and you might not need them all.

Tips off of siblings and freinds:

ask around, especially peopel who have taken the course before

buy the books you absolutley need, because the proffessor might not use a few of the books

get with a friend who's in the same class. They can buy one of the textbooks and you can buy anothe rone. THen you can copy notes off each other's.|||www.ecampus.com

These textbooks are usually much lower than a college bookstore. Also, there are probably bulletin boards at the college where other students are selling their books at discounted prices. Sometimes the professor will know of former students who are selling textbooks or notes.|||go to half.com|||go to www.cheapesttextbooks.com this is the best site Ive found. You search for the books by IBSN, author, title, or subject. Then, it giives you a list of websites that are selling the book (half.com, amazon etc) and how much they are selling for. You click on the price you like and it re-directs you to that site. I love it because it lets you compare all the major discount sites side-by-side...so convenient!|||Look around and see if you can find someone that has taken the course and is finished with their books. They might be willing to sell cheap.|||First, try price comparison shopping at Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com. Sometimes you can get lucky and get a good price at these trailers. Then try half.com. It's a popular web site around now for buying used college textbooks for low prices.|||Don't pay attention to anyone. let me tell u go on half.com. this website i own by EBAY and i bet u will get books for 95 to 97% offf sometime. because I'm also a college student, and i buy books from this website and i get them on time so go there and open an account and start buying stuffffff.
